                               RESOLUTION NO. 19274
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE CENTER FOR
                   RESTORATION OF WATERS FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO
                   EXCEED SEVENTEEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND
                   NO/100 DOLLARS ($17,500.00), TO BE PAID FROM
                   THE CONTINGENCY FUND, TO DO PRE-ENGINEERING
                   AND PREPARATION WORK FOR A PROPOSAL TO EPA
                   TOWARD THE CLEAN-UP OF CHATTANOOGA CREEK AND
                   TO DEVELOP AN EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT ON SOLAR

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to execute a Contract with the Center for Restoration of Waters
       for an amount not to exceed $17,500.00, to be paid from the
       Contingency Fund, to do pre-engineering and preparation work for 
a
       proposal to EPA toward the clean-up of Chattanooga Creek and to
       develop an educational component on solar aquatics.
